THE DIFFERENCE

Life takes a toll when you live what you’re not,
Trying to be something else causes you to rot in,
You own hell, can’t tell, the real from the fake,
One way out but two roads to take.
How can you see but you’re blinded in truth
Can’t see what is real cause you lost all that you
Had from within, why’d you turn to sin?
To destroy who you were in the beginning
The TV says one thing, your friends say another
The darkness calls to you, you forget that your Father
In heaven reaches out to you but you turn and follow the lies,
Slowly but surly you begin to die
Not realizing you’re causing others to cry
When you were born you had a destiny
To give praise only to the Almighty
But nowadays it’s so hard to find that harmony
You’re afraid to be alone, rejected in pain
But don’t let another’s life just go in vain
Not your mother’s, your brother’s, sisters or fathers
I’m talking about the one who thought of you above all others
How can you see but you’re blinded in truth
Can’t see what is real cause you lost all that you
Had from within, why’d you turn to sin?
To destroy who you were in the beginning
The TV says one thing, your friends say another
The darkness calls to you, you forget that your Father
In heaven reaches out to you but you turn and follow the lies,
Slowly but surly you begin to die
Not realizing you’re causing others to cry
How can you deny your life to the one who had paid for you for a price?
You’re afraid of the changes and what others will think
When in truth others just don’t know how to keep the secrets that they search for a light
But so used to darkness they don’t know how to fight
So afraid of judgment from others
Seem to forget that out of all your brothers,
You were chosen, you were set apart
Decided since birth it’s buried in your heart
That one way or another, one day or sooner
You’d be a preacher for Christ, a winner not a loser
How can you see but you’re blinded in truth
Can’t see what is real cause you lost all that you
Had from within, why’d you turn to sin?
To destroy who you were in the beginning
The TV says one thing, your friends say another
The darkness calls to you, you forget that your Father
In heaven reaches out to you but you turn and follow the lies,
Slowly but surly you begin to die
Not realizing you’re causing others to cry
