Resurrecting the Fight

An old women sat down beside me and said,"You young people today are so afraid to dream because you don't want to fail at something. When will you stop being afraid?" I was speechless! I had no answer for this woman who just saw into my soul so clearly . But that shell shocking encounter was four years ago, and now I have learned a thing or two . I just wish I could tell her that I'm not afraid anymore. I would tell her that I have seen dreams were killed and other dreams pushed in the back of people's minds. I sadly report that these dreams are never heard of again. But That dream could have been someone's joy. That dream could have been the example the world needed. It had the potential to be the thing that would have made us rich in not only money but in love. That dream could have ended some type of hatred. Folks, dreams are gifts!! One of my friends told me that she has went and pursued her dream but it failed. she confessed to me that she can't relive that kind of hurt anymore. What I have learned is that failure is nobody's forever. Failure is the teacher of strong will and bravery. Every successful person has experienced failure @ one point in their life. Failure is your test to your great testimony. Don't ever be scared of it, learn from it and it will show you who your real friends are!! I have failed at many things but I haven't fallen. Those two words are very different to me . Fallen suggest that I have given up and that,is what I won't do. To this day, I will be forever grateful to that woman who saw into my heart and resurrected the fight in me.
