Man do I love summer! I want to make a list of joyful celebration of things I love about the summer.
1) Swimming in the fountain at Peninsula Park, especially with my little buddy Andrew!
2) Pulling Andrew around in the bike trailer behind my bike!
3) Listening to acoustic metal bands play in Peninsula Park while eating pie and drinking beer with my best friends.
4) Food Not Bombs!!!!!!!
5) That constant sticky sweaty body feeling...and smelling the sweet natural smell of everyone around me.
6) Mangoes shared with friends on the front porch.
7) New love, new lovers and sweet, sticky days and nights spent in bed!
8) Sleeping under the trees in Forest Park or anywhere where there are trees!
9) Wearing skirts and dresses with no underwear.
10) Cold baths (again, best with a friend who likes to bathe you!)
11) Cool breezes on our front porch that get the wind-chimes ringing while working on animal hides.
12) Sunny afternoons with a book *really into funny books this summer, like Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and Tom Robbins!
13) Vegan ice cream!
14) Iced coffee.
15) Wild strawberries picked in meadows.
16) Daydreaming about what my ideal future will look like.
17) Reading about inspiring activist groups like Root Force.
