This is kind of sad, but I am just reading The Da Vinci Code for the first time in my life, and I have never watched the movie before. I swear, this book is incredible. I am absolutely loving it. It starts off with such a bang, and it draws you right in. Part of the reason why I love it so much is because I have always wanted to go to Paris. Dan Brown does such a fantastic job describing the setting, paintings, architecture, etc. I feel like I am actually there. I honestly cannot get over how much I am liking this book right now. When I get into bed at night at like 12 or 1 AM, I actually want to read, not go to sleep.
I was thinking back to when the movie version of Dan Brown’s book came out, and I thought about how controversial people made it out to be. Now that I am reading it, I do not see how people can even come to that. I mean, it directly states that the novel is fiction. And, on the inside, there is a whole page describing all the “true” things about the book. I don’t understand how people could get so mad about a book that clearly states it is fiction.
That also reminds me of another problematic book that I heard people say bad things about in the past-Harry Potter…But that is a whole other thing entirely ;)

reading is sweet. *goes to read some philosophy*
Reading is my favorite pastime and I loved reading this book especially. I usually can't stand reading historical/ geografical books but this one took me only a week to read (novels take a month with they way I am). This one hooks you fast and keeps you wanting to read more. My mother in law reads supper fast...it only took her a day and a half. So thank you for sharing.
There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.~- Anais Nin
