Adventures in Community Service - Part 4: Chillin'

Amy and I hung out again today. She got new glasses and she looks beautiful. I found out today that her caregivers are her aunt and uncle. Didn't know that... She's such a sweet girl, though. Fun. And funny. We went to Walmart and couldn't find the trash cans. Then we bought a pizza - pepperoni at her request. We took it to my apartment and ate it and then went to the movies together... It wasn't a lot, but I had fun... I'm hoping she did.

She wants to go to school to be a nurse. She wants to work specifically with kids - maybe become a pediatrician. I admire her for that. She loves her siblings lot. She has a brother who's going to be eight, and you can tell how much she loves him by the look in her eyes when she talks about him. She said she had fun while she was visiting her real mom and the rest of her family this week. I'm happy for her, but I know her cousin told me a few days after she left that she was miserable - that she'd called home every day unhappy. I guess things turned around for her. He said she was originally taken from her mom because she wasn't being fed... That makes me so sad. I'm glad she's in a better situation now.
