The Craft, Curse, and Choice of our Soar Thumbs

We all have a soar thumb...........
Its something that makes people say....... Look there's so and so... or You got the job or even I like you, wanna hang out some time. It is what makes us unique It is what makes us beautiful It is what makes us... well... US.

It also can serve as our Achilles heel, and make us ABSOLUTELY UNBEARABLE!!LOL.
But however which way we look at, whether it be as a craft or a curse, we all have a soar thumb that we have to live with.
Hopefully, as this blog develops, you to will develop the soar thumb that you have into a life-craft and not a life-curse. Take it from someone who has been on both sides of that spectrum, the craft-side of your soar thumb is far better.

A Soar Thumb Scenario Gone Wrong
I personally have a passion for motivation. Whether it be motivating others, or just motivating myself, I love the feeling of encouraging others, and being encouraged ( which actually can be one and the same.) But, this soar thumb of mine can also be a curse as I have found out in my life.

As a child I often dragged my friends into trouble due to my wonderful talent for motivating people. One case standouts the most. When I was a kid, I was convinced that the house in the middle of the neighbor housed by aliens. In order to try to prove this to the rest of the neighborhood, me and my friend Matt (who I had also motivated to join my valiant campaign) cut off the power off to their house in order to see if that would forced them to reveal their "true identity". What it actually made them do was call the police on us, and an hour later I received a knock on my door from officer jack to speak to my parents. A soar thumb gone wrong, I think so. Event like this one eventually led me to ask myself this question:

What will my Soar Thumb Story Be? Will it be a curse or a craft
Since then I have striven to dedicate my Soar Thumb to becoming a craft that can enrich the world. However, even today I find curse rearing it's ugly head. I know I am not alone. If you look back on your life, what was the one thing that people would always say that had a problem with you about. Most often, that is your soar thumb in disguise. You talk to much? Public relations, marketing, public Speaking may be your next big job opportunity. Tend to tell stories to get you out of trouble? Maybe you should write them down, you may be the next big fiction writer of your time. Complain a lot? Create a solution to the things you complain about. It could turn into a profitable venture. Always doodling during class? Maybe your the next Davinci.

You see, your soar thumbs are all around you. If you just pay attention to how you live your life on a daily basis you will be able to find tons of them.
