The entire state must have been fathered by Ted Stevens. As Sarah Palin defends her speech that criticizes David Letterman's humor;I watch and wonder how could anyone vote for this woman that has listened to her speak. She is a blathering idiot. It is chilling to think this woman might have been a leader of this country. The joke Mr. Letterman made I am not aware, and I am sure it was degrading without any sense of humor. But to hear Ms. Palin respond, she eluded to her daughter possibly kicking Dave's ass if there were to be a meeting of the two. It makes me feel good to know that she is not in Washington D.C., threatening leaders of the world with her daughters tenacity.

Too often, the answer in a time of frustration is violence. The Holocaust museum endured a horrible tragedy by a disgruntled elder Caucasian claiming to be a white supremacist. What did he think his action would accomplish? This is not an isolated event either, unfortunately. In Europe, the Nazi's are reappearing, and with much violence, they espouse their racial superiority. Pardon me, but I have thought the theories of evolution to be agreeable, these guys are cavemen with boots, sorry to insult the neanderthal.

Why must a person feel so much hatred? What causes this belief that white is almighty? Disgusting that I still have to listen to any claim of superiority. Gross that in this world we live, pride in nationalism brings us to battle. Sad, that as a civilized nation, we still involve ourselves in these games of pride. Misleading, when the reasons for war are corporate gain.

I used to proud, but those days are gone. Now I wonder if happiness exists at all. It is an illusion fostered by greenbacks.

Sarah Palin had every right to be furious and ANY punishment she suggested for Letterman would be appropriate. The piece of scum advocated the raping of a 14 year old. Any Mother would be perfectly justified in calling for any punishment she thinks is appropriate.

Letterman's comment was FAR MORE DISGUSTING and depraved then the 'nappy headed ho" comment made by Don Imus and he lost his job over that. The same should happen to Letterman.

The treatment of Sarah Palin and her entire family by the left has cast the entire political movement in a very negative light. It has been relentless and totally savage. Leftists are truly hateful people.

I mean, c'mon...Dave never said anything about raping Palin's 14-year-old daughter. That was nothing more than a convenient assumption on the part of a fading political star who sees an advantage in playing the victim. Many on the right seem to be forgetting that Sarah Palin has ANOTHER daughter who is not only over 18-years-old, but *gasp* DID in fact have unmarried, underaged sex and *double gasp* DID in fact get "knocked up." Isn't it rational to assume that this was the "daughter" to which Dave referred? And let's not forget that the REASON that jokes about Bristol (as opposed to Willow or Piper or Trig) are FUNNY is that abstinence-only education and similar policies were a CORE PLANK in the platform for her vice-presidential bid. I doubt very seriously that the irony is lost on you, and I think that the ire which these jokes evoked only goes to show just how on the mark the intellectual criticism of Palin's position on these issues really is.

I'm not getting involved in whatever Letterman said. I've never followed what Letterman or any other late night TV host said because I've never cared. Though I agree that Palin can be difficult to listen to.

Neo-nazis are reappearing in Europe because of the economic recession. One historian has compared anti-Semitism to a "canary in the gold mine," since it is often an indicator of bad times. When people lose jobs, they like to blame someone. Usually, these people are Jews (especially in Europe) or immigrants (also very common in Europe, and to a lesser extent, America).
