And in my fantastic voyage
There came only the sound of trees
And one said:
'I am not a man
Though it seems to me
that men live grudgingly
as though their tenacious will to live
is ever contested with a longing for the earth'
Soon enoough, we all head for where we'd come
was my reply
The tree did but sigh
Your roots, they are nestled in fine dirt
at length, I declared longingly
*Things are going to take a different direction here. I used to post prose pieces, hoping that this would be the right kind of 'online community' for feedback. So far it hasn't worked quite like I thought it would. Not that I don't appreciate every kind of feedback I get, but this isn't working out for other people as well?? And yes, it's not you, it's me.
I thought I would copy and paste some snippets of writing--'the other kind'--that I sometimes...attempt. Then the king of blogs said it was too short. 200 words? Really? I would do something dick like copy and paste "200 words" over and over, but I don't want to get kicked off the site.
**Just tried to submit that, still not enough words. DO NOT READ. this is quickly turning into nonsense, maybe next time I'll make some 'post-modern versification' and just type weird, or make hyphen words. I wonder if I wrote hyp-hen it would be two words or one...

that you try the creative writing site for such posts, but it is still down from the server change. right now there isnt a contest, so the staff are a bit more lax about the 200 word rule, but others still like to remind people about it, we just want people to be aware of the rules, and to not get too comfortable with the current laxity. do know though, that your post may be unpublished if it doesn't fit the requirements, and please don't take it personally.
ProgressiveU is all about progress, and all blogs are supposed to be progressive. While prose and poetry can be progressive, this isn't really the forum for that. that is why there is a creative writing site, so that people like you can have a place for that kind of writing.
