I had my molar removed on friday, then saturday I was trying to clean out the hole with a cotton swab and felt something hard in it. It hurt massively when the dentist removed it and then got worse and more swollen and tender by sunday I was at the hospital getting it checked out. Doc said go to the dentist as the gum is swollen where the molar was pulled, he thought the dentist missed part of the tooth. But I got the tooth, kept it and he got it all. Turns out my wisdom tooth is breaking the gums, has broken through already. Dentist was unaware of it! It is only Tuesday night and the wisdom tooth has broken through the gum and is growing rapidly fast. My gum is still very swollen and cannot chew anything, have been living of twinkies and pudding since friday. Don't know if the swelling is from the tooth removal or the wisdom tooth, pain is umbearable I have been taking T3's and 600mg Ibuprofen together, barely helps with the pain or swelling. Worst part is that my dentist doesn't even live in this city. He lives many cities away but is the only one who does not require full payment at the end of appointment, accepts my insurance coverage no questions asked. Has this happened to anyone else, having the molar pulled and then having the wisdom tooth grow out immediately following? Does the pain persist until the wisdom tooth is removed or what? HELP!!!!!
