Every adult (from Judge Craig Key to the social workers assigned to her case, to her relatives) that was aware of all or any of her bruises and injuries should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Children need to be protected. How can you return a child to any situation where there is remotely a possibility of abuse???
That innocent and sweet angel was abused over a course of MONTHS and MONTHS. MONTHS AND MONTHS people. It was not a single incident but a series of events that blatantly pointed out that something was seriously WRONG in her home situation yet people just continued to write case reviews and updates and docket the court system, yet no one blew a single loud whistle to say: SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG HERE.
How can you brush over even a single bruise? If I were the social worker or even an adult near her, I would flap my arms wildly and say that it is not normal for even a rambunctious 2 year old to keep getting a bruise here, 2 broken legs there, a broker collar bone here, and then even more bruises. Every adult needs to be held accountable. Every one. There is no excuse. Absolutely none.
The poor dear must have been terrified. May she rest in piece. As for that loser step-dad of hers, may his life become the very hell he created for her, here on earth and eternally in hell. He deserves it. Also, what kind of a Mother would allow these things to happen to her child? No Man is ever worth harming a child over. No man.
