In every child lies a future; the actions and things that children learn while growing up determine the future for us all. We live in a crazy world full of violence, greed, hypocrisy, and so many other atrocities that we need to come together to create a better future for today’s children. Kids depend on us to build them a solid foundation so they can live their lives and make their own decisions. In the future, I plan to give back to my community and help out the new generation by creating a better, more responsible, more educated, and moralistic society for people to grow up in.
The best way to provide a stable place for children to grow up in and thrive is through community service. In a stable environment, kids will learn about what it takes to create an educated, moralistic society. Then they will be able to apply their newly acquired knowledge in the future. Community service is a great way for kids to get involved in the community, and learn teamwork, commitment, responsibility, and the importance of unity.
In the future, I plan to create a community service program that targets assisted living and retirement homes. The goal of the project is to visit, entertain, and help out the elderly. This will teach children about responsibility and how to make ethically sound decisions and whatnot. I will put together groups of children of all ages to play games, befriend, and talk to the elderly residents.
Children are the leaders of tomorrow and they need all the help they can get in learning about how to run society in the future. Community service through a local assisted living home is a great way for children to learn about the past in order to prepare for the future. Everyone has a story to tell; by establishing this project, students will have the opportunity to talk to and learn about the past. The kids will be able to take past experiences of the elderly residents and be able to apply them in the future to create a better society.
A project such as this one will also keep kids out of trouble and will provide them in a friendly safe environment to thrive and grow in. My project will allow children to constantly learn new things about themselves, the world around them, and their past.
A community service project at an assisted living home will provide an excellent place for children to grow and learn. In order to create a better, educated, and moralistic society, it is essential to implement projects such as this. In the future, I plan to breath life into this project and make it a reality to create a better society for tomorrow.

Overall this is a pretty good thought you have started here. What I want to start with is what exactly do you mean by "moralistic society"?
There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.~- Anais Nin
...and I would also like to know what this blogger means by a "moralistic society."

In my opinion, a moralistic society is one in which people are ethically and socially conscious. In this type of society, people would be more inclined to do what is ethically right, not follow their greedy desires. Although it is impossible to create a completely ethical society, I believe every little bit helps : ]

This is great for both young and old. We know our seniors in assisted living and/or nursing homes sometimes do not get the visitation they need, and kids could always benefit with some sort of community service. I think this could work.
You should put your idea in the context of similar programs - how would it compare to, say, a local Americorps? A quick peek at their web site tells me they also do 'elder care', but they look for volunteers at least 18 years old. Children can volunteer with Boy/Girl Scouts - but do they help the elderly? So maybe there is a niche waiting to be filled.
I think I understand what you mean by 'moralistic society'. A place where everyone is ethically conscious, thoughtful, and takes each other into consideration. Broad life experiences, including volunteering, definitely promote that. So good luck! It will probably take cash and organization skills to make it happen, but if you're serious about helping old people don't let that discourage you.
in a business class talked about something like this. the main difference was that her project focused on having the elderly volunteer to care for young children that needed day care while their parents were at work.
At first I questioned the reliability of the elderly with such responsibilities, but she provided statistics that showed that elderly volunteers were more reliable than paid young adults. Sadly, that was 2 terms ago, and I don't have access to her proposition anymore.
I agree that partnering of the very young with the "senior" community can be a very positive experience, but I question the effectiveness of a program that centers on the very young providing services to the elder community. I think that that it should be the other way around, that the elders should serve the youth.

I have never thought about it that way. That's very interesting. I like that idea!!
