There has been a lot of controversy about the whole same sex marriage thing. It seems like a tug of war between the two parties. On the one side it is said that same sex marriage is against the constitution and is a major sin in God's eyes. They want to ammend the constitution so that it wouldn't be legal for same sex couples to be married and have the same rights as opposite sex couples do. The other party says that it is not against the constitution since there is nothing there that does not verbid same sex marriage and that same sex couples should have the same rights as everyone else does. I am shocked at about how everything got blown out of proportion and that now it is such a major deal whether or not same sex couples should get married like normal couples and have the same rights. My opinion is that everyone should have the same rights and not be based upon sexual orientation. This is like how the slaves were treated im history. They weren't allowed to get married and didn't have the same rights as white people had, but now during the present this isn't like that any more they are aloud to marry and have the same rights as everyone else does. Marriage shouldn't be based on orientation it should be based more on whether or not it is taken seriously. Same sex couples should have the same rights as opposite couples, because they are human to and they should have the same priveleges as everyone else does and the admmendment to the constitution would be wrong cause, it is taking rights and freedom from people which this country was founded upon.

To make an "admmendment to the constitution would be wrong" because it specifically forbids creating laws and limits based on religious beliefs.
"I am shocked at about how everything got blown out of proportion and that now it is such a major deal whether or not same sex couples should get married like normal couples and have the same rights." I am not that shocked and it should be a big deal... but I mean a big deal in a positive manner. Did you mean to say that same sex couples are not normal or that they are not as frequent as hetero-relationships?
There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.~- Anais Nin
