I rewrite lyrics to mean something to me, I also find connections between me and things in my world.

I have found a connection with me to this song by the Fray.

He, they, sings meaningful lyrics that touch people, people question their reasons but I rather just listen to the music but sometimes I find myself sucked into the cycle of knowing why someone wrote certain words...

What could have made them, or you, write things down that are even painful for me to hear with my ears, they make me breathe sighs of deep regret and worry...I am worried about me and you...and the rest of the world.

"I found God

On the corner of First in Amistad

Where the west was all but won..."

Can I tell you a secret...

I have a composition book that is my notes from high school, and the last page of my book talks about Amistad because we watched the movie in class and I took notes about the Amistad because it moved me, I was struck by this life story of humans who were being treated as cattle....let me tell you what I wrote...in my notebook...this book is my life.

Amistad challenged American legal system, it showed people could rebel to gain their freedom...
March 9, 1841they were finally free
Nov 27, 1841... 35 captives went back home

January 1842 Freetown, Sierra Leone

This is me, it's my six degrees of separation and my connection

My composition books are my life, I have two of them...one says Impossible Things Are Happening Everyday
The other is My Chronicles of Life and Death (alas I am alive, not dead)

If I had to make more connections with the fray, they're a little religious and insanely in deep to helping since they did name their first album, how to save a life...and I think they know they are over their head...so do I because I want to make a difference but I am only ONE.

One beginnings but you know there are 150 million different ends to you and I

We'll meet someday now or then, then will come sooner than never

I will change me to feel the pain and sorrow inside you and you'll change you to feel me

We'll breathe...circling as we dream in colors of beauty

It's beauty and you will be me, and I...you

We'll become ONE as the world watches in it's beautiful misery

We'll all break out in song, colorful dreams that scream you and I are all the same

the same beginnings. and we all touch the Earth...it's our last resort, our final abode.

I am in way over my head.

---------

There was a time I didn't believe there was any color in the world...my grandmother died, this changed me, I knew I couldn't take life so lightly, I saw the pain etched on my father's face...I saw the tears in my mother's eyes and saw the reflection of their pain in my siblings actions...I could not just bull shit and take my life as a joke.

This is me, I am trying to make a difference. I am alive, Thank the people around me, thank everything...everyone

I am grateful I see light everyday and I still smile past all the things that have changed.

I find it hard to talk about the past but the past is a part of me

“You cannot wean away an addict from the drug. It is not possible for me to walk away from Ranjha. If it is our destiny to be together then who, other than God, can change it?”
she's a spaceman, no walker, dreamer...maybe

The Fray are definitely my favorite band after their latest album where, oddly, every single song was awesome. I love Slade's emotional voice and he brings this out the best in "That's Enough For Now" which is a song to his mother after his grandfather's death. All nine of the other songs are unique and could easily be my top ten favorite songs now. Its unbelievable that an album could contain so many awesome songs. Still at the top of my list from their 2006 album are the songs "How to Save a Life" "Over my Head" "Fall Away" and "Look after you" Yes they are an awesome band and I can appreciate your, well, appreciation, of the Fray.
