The Associated Student Body, otherwise known as, ASB, at my high school is corrupt. I call them the “ASB Nazis” just for kicks. They have an evil power that controls the entire school and manipulates them into doing whatever they please. This may seem rather extreme, but my high school has gone to the very ends of my comfort to make me perfectly miserable.
Every year throughout my high school career, we have held food fairs. Previously, this was the time when all the school clubs came together and set up booths to sell different kinds of food to raise money for the clubs. This was a great fundraiser and significantly helped the various clubs raise more money.
The cause of all my anger derives from ASB’s actions. They have taken it upon themselves to take over the food fair and not let any clubs participate. Not to mention, ASB steals all the food ideas that the clubs had.
I was a French Club officer, so I know exactly how much ASB’s actions hurt us every year. We lost about $300 last year because ASB took over the food fair. It is ridiculous that they cannot come up with their own way to make money. Instead, they have to steal ideas and money from the student clubs. It is unfair and unjust to see ASB take advantage of everyone; this needs to stop.

Are the ASB Nazi's elected by the students, appointed by the teachers or school administration or did they stage some sort of military coup d'etat? How did they get all this power that allows them to lord it over the students and the student clubs.
What do they do with all the money? Is some or all of it distributed back to the Clubs? Can you organize a boycott of the food fair? Or stage a protest? Or maybe even a Boston Tea Party sort of revolt although that might result in disciplinary action.
Can the ASB Nazi's prevent the various student Clubs from organizing their own independent event?
Somebody should run against them on a "New Deal" or "Contract for xyz High School" platform that spells out specifically what they are doing and how it will be changed under the new Administration.
What I have seen in most high schools, student government is sadly reflective of democracy in greater America. It is mostly a popularity contest that has more to do with personalities and appearance then ideas.
