Hello All !
I'm glad that "Confessions of a Compulsive Leaf Cruncher" was so warmly received; thanks to everyone who commented ! As you may or may not have noticed, it was meant to be a piece of satire. My targets were those hypochondriacs out there who like to think that every little habit must be pinned down to some hideous compulsive disorder or other mental issue; secondly, I'm also poking fun at all those "Insert Issue Here" Anonymous meetings.
I did go on to follow up, expanding this piece into what turned out to be second and third installments in the form of news articles. If you are interested, I will be posting them in the Creative Writing section of Progressive U because I think that's where they belong.
You know, I think we often take life and ourselves much too seriously and so, in these next few satirical articles, you will see some spot-on, though nonetheless lighthearted digs about lesbians and the grotesquely wealthy. I hope you will not take anything too personally but rather, enjoy them for what they are: comedic relief.
Things in the world have been much too heavy lately. Let us lighten the load if only for a moment, step out into the day and greet each other with a smile again !
