I Am Going to Blog About Sex (Rated NC-17)

Yes, that is right. I am going to blog about sex. Why? Because I have reason to think that it needs to be done. I have come across some very confused and concerned people on this site. I have actually had some people send me private messages with their questions.
I know that 16 is the required age for ProU. (Do people have to be 16 to blog, or just to win a scholarship? I don't remember.) I am going to warn you now, please do not read these blogs to come if you do not want be exposed to information regarding sex. I will add NC-17 to any blog of this nature just to warn those concerned.
I have said that religion and sexuality are the 2 most influencing factors on human behavior. I feel pretty good about my coverage of religion on the site. i have started this project already in my blog "Gender Is A Limitation." i am going to take it to the next level.
I have decided that there really isn't any reason not to. I have already exposed some deeply personal experiences in my Scrapbooking blogs, and to be honest, to continue that project I would not be able to avoid the subject of sex.
Yes, I am saying that I am going to about my personal sexual experiences. If you don't want to know, then don't read my blogs with the NC-17 rating. I invite ProU staff to email or pm me with any cautionary warnings before I violate another TOS. If I get one more in the next 2 months I will be blocked from the site.
I also promise that anything I do share is in the spirit of progress. I have come to my own personal impasse with my sexuality and I feel that I need to explore it for myself. Additionally, like I said before, I have reason to think that there are more than a few ProU members who are struggling, questioning, and not understanding themselves. I hope that some will find some answers in what I share.
The media is saturated with sex. The problem is that the media is not being honest about it. It is portraying some manufactured "ideal" of what sexuality is supposed to be. Many people don't identify with this prepackaged social construct. Many feel insecure and inadequate, like there must something "wrong" with them if they do not identify with the media manufactured sexual revolution, which in my opinion is far from bringing any sort of "progress" around the issue.
Sexuality affects almost everything. People who do not "fit in" sexually are either oppressed, repressed, or regressed. Some become sexual deviants and cause harm to others. Some, who are actually the most progressive, have decided to accept themselves in spite of the fact that they do not "fit in." Those people have a lot to teach the world, in my opinion.
Making sexuality a topic of open dialogue can bring progress. Like many things, sexuality is one of those social constructs that shifts over time as new information is brought out. 60 years ago people who did not "fit in" sexually had to pretend anyway. They had to go along with the status quo. Some who were more liberated than others found ways to acknowledge their own sexuality in private. If found out, they were often punished or humiliated in public.
Today we are seeing that the world is becoming aware of just how many variations of sexuality exist. Those who are willing to speak out however, are a very small minority of exhibitionists and pornographers, and their displays are not representative of the majority.
I am going to speak out, and I do not know if I am representative of the majority either, but I can say that throughout the course of my life I have experienced quite a bit, and one time or another I have probably felt or experienced what most ProU members do. You may not identify with most of my feelings and experiences, and that is fine. i am not here to tell you about you. I am here to tell you about me, and if you identify, maybe you will glean some insight from my willingness to share.
I am going to add to the scrapbooking project some before I begin this venture, to fill in some gaps and important foundational information. Perhaps this project here will be a part of that, but again, I will flag it myself with the NC-17 rating so you don't have to guess.

Thirteen (or was it Fourteen?) to register on the site. There's a little checkbox when you register that says something like 'I promise I'm over 13'. We do that one for legal reasons. You have to be at least 16 to win the scholarship, though we tend to me more lenient on that one if you're less than two years from graduating from high school (or the equivalent).

Fourteen to register on the site, 16 to participate in the BFP scholarship. I had to go check it out the other day because I thought you had to be 16 to even join the site.... shows how much we know huh?

Lets talk about sex baby...lets talk about you and me...lets talk about all the good and bad things that may be...lets talk about sex.

Ah yes, a very good topic and a responsible well written/spoken person to do so. I will cheer you along the whole way expounding and blocking as needed. I look forward to seeing these NC-17s.

Why don't you concentrate more on Sexual Education in terms of the diseases that people keep spreading? Because it seems that there are a lot more people who need to know about that rather than the act itself--I think we can make a reasonable deduction about the emotional and physical effects of such an act, but the consequences not so much.

Hehe what ?
:eh:
" I think we can make a reasonable deduction about the emotional and physical effects of such an act, but the consequences not so much." Is a pretty funny statement if I thought you were joking at all.

I think that if you could " make a reasonable deduction about the emotional and physical effects of such an act," then you could also figure out about the consequences" because those things are not really that diffrent.

Knowing about what your are doing in bed, what you do and who you chose before you have sex with a person, and all the things that come after intertwined with life experiences with nothing left out is what it sounded like she was going to blog about. Many highschoolers and youngins struggle with sexuality issues as well as trying to deal with confused parents and plotically correct and/or bias school teachers... I think this will be interesting and I really hope it turns out well and that you read.

Maybe none of us are as prepared as we think we are.
