Peace be upon all.
Quality, availability and results of medical facilities vary at various places. In certain cases, despite having advanced treatment, patients may not survive. It is also observed that resourceless people who have no medical facilities miraculously recovered through prayers of their dear ones. Such recovery provides inspiration for a believer.
I believe, one of the attributes of God is The Healer ( Al-Shaafi ) and the progress in medical knowledge is achieved due to God gifted intelligence. He brings physical and spiritual healing. The Blessed Holy prophet said to a physician that he was only a soother and the real physician was Allah. His promised servant of latter days (w.mta.tv) stressed upon this belief i.e, Allah being the Real Healer. According to his successor, when a doctor and a patient keep in mind that God’s Grace and Mercy generate cure then blessings descend.
One of the bounties for humanity having curative benefits is honey. About which, it is said in Quran: Therein is cure for people. ( 16:70) and also there is a mention of revelation to honeybee to perform its job. (16:69) . On spiritual level, revelation is a process always guiding people.
Talking of honeybee, there are reports about honeybees dying in great numbers. These little servants of humanity are in need of our focussed attention.
The Blessed Holy prophet has mentioned fruit-dates, honey, black onion seeds, certain kind of mashrooms, and water for curative purpose. He also said that one of the wing of common fly carry healing effects. Modern researches are in line with his predictive words of wisdom. [Ref: The ointment in the fly: antibiotics. (new antibiotic derived from a common fly) findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb5037/is_/ai_n18299384 ]
The first chapter of the Holy Quran is called a prayer for healing.
Translation:
1..In the name of Allah(God), The Gracious, The Merciful.
2..All praise belongs to Allah, lord of all the worlds,
3..The Gracious, The Merciful,
4..Master of the day of judgment.
5..Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.
6..Guide us in the right path—
7..The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone asrtray.
May everyone on earth live happily with good physical and spiritual health in the year to come and afterwards.

It is also observed that resourceless people who have no medical facilities miraculously recovered through prayers of their dear ones. Such recovery provides inspiration for a believer.
Unless you can provide us with a scientifically credible, objective and methodologically sound study that would verify the claim that prayer has any significant effect on the recovery of patients, I will have to call B.S. on you.

Well, you can't just say B.S because he didn't prove it. what is there is there, it would be better if the case is well supported by a good source though
...because not only is it the responsibility of the person making a claim to support it if he wishes to be taken seriously, the fact is that the alleged benefits of intercessory prayer on patients HAS been studied by a number of credible scientific groups, with the results indicating that such hocus-pocus has no effect or even a detrimental effect on recovery. For example...
Faith healing is just a form of snake oil, and it harms people to promote a belief in it.

"one of the attributes of God is The Healer ( Al-Shaafi ) and the progress in medical knowledge is achieved due to God gifted intelligence."
The point was to say that the real Healer is God. It is not said anywhere in original essay that we should not use medical treatments at all.
According to my undersatnding , as explained by the promised reformer, the subject of the acceptance of prayer is a branch of the subject of prayer.
The principle of prayer is that there is a mutually attractive relationship between a pious servant and his Lord.
To begin with, the mercy (Rahmaniyyat) of God Almighty draws a servant to itself.
Then through his sincerity the servant approaches close to God Almighty (spiritually) and in prayer that relationship, when it arrives at a certain stage, manifests its wonderful qualities.
When a servant being confronted with a great difficulty leans towards God Almighty with perfect certainty, perfect hope, perfect love, perfect fidelity and perfect resolve, and becoming extremely alert and tearing aside the veils of heedlessness advances far into the fields of the discarding of self, he beholds in front of him the court of the Divine and perceives that He has no associate.
Then the soul prostrates itself at that threshold and the power of attraction that is invested in him draws the bounty of God Almighty towards itself. Then God, the Glorious, addresses Himself towards fulfilling the purpose of the supplication and casts the effect of prayer on all those preliminary means which give rise to the means that are necessary for the achievement of the purpose of the prayer.
For instance, if the prayer is for rain then on its acceptance the natural means that are needed for rain are created by the effect of the prayer.
That is to say, by the command of God the prayer exercises control in the lower and higher world and turns the elements and heavenly bodies and the hearts of people to the direction that is desired.
The source of thousands of miracles that were manifested by the Prophets and the wonders that have been exhibited throughout by the saints was prayer, and it is through the effect of prayer that extraordinary events display the power of the All-Powerful.
Humility alone is not enough for prayer, but righteousness, purity, truthfulness, perfect certainty, perfect love and perfect attention are all needed, and it is also necessary that the object prayed for should not be opposed to the Divine design for the welfare in this world and in the hereafter of the supplicant, or of the one on whose behalf supplication is made.

In 1907, a young student Abdul Hakim came to visit the promised-reformer (who explained above philosophy of prayers) . The student came from about 1000 miles away, to pursue his religious studies. The student was bitten by a mad dog suffering from rabies and he was immediately rushed to the --- Pasteur Institute at Kasauli--- for treatment.
He returned after a few days but began to show the unmistakable signs of rabies –
that is fever, itching, spasms and frothing at the mouth with an intense fear of water.
The Pasteur Institute was contacted again but the director returned a telegram saying:
‘Regret – nothing can be done for Abdul Karim’.
Even nowadays, rabies is considered fatal once the symptoms have actually
begun. When the Promised Refomer Messiah(as) was informed that nothing more could be done, he was deeply moved and prayed earnestly to God to cure the young man.
After 24 hours, Abddul Karim began to show signs of improvement and in a short time he recovered to full health.
The telegram from the Pasteur Institute remains in the archives as a reminder that the power of prayer should never be overlooked if we ever misguidedly begin to believe we have knowledge and control over all illness and death.

More than three hundred scientific studies demonstrate the medical value of religious commitment (including worship attendance, prayer, scripture study, and an active participation in a spiritual community).
ref: Dale Matthews: Is Religion Good for Your Health in Russell Stannard (ed) God for the 21st Century (Philadelphia: Templeton Foundation Press, 2000) p. 103 and also see the summary of 85 studies published by Dr. Kenneth I. Pargament in his book “The Psychology of Religion and Coping” (pp. 407 – 422), which proves that religion and religious activities are very effective in coping.

If you cut your finger and put on a bandage, the bleeding will probably stop.
If you cut your finger, say a prayer and put on a bandage, the bleeding will still probably stop...but the prayer had nothing to do with it.
Neither of your examples of "evidence" provide the necessary information to satisfy the challenge I put to you, as they do not make a clear reference to any specific study that can be examined and verified for credibility and soundness. In other words, this is the same chicanery that religious people always seem to rely upon when trying to advance their ridiculous, primitive mumbo-jumbo.
Try again.

1=Everyone has right to speak what they believe or think.
No here has one said otherwise. However, having the right to say and believe what you think doesn't make those things any more actual or true.
2= To me, Almighty God exists. God is not product of human imagination.
There is not "to me" in a discussion of the existence of a thing. Either it exists objectively, for everyone and regardless of belief, or it does not exist at all. The utter lack of evidence that you have for your beliefs would seem to suggest that this "almighty god" fellow you keep talking about is nothing more than a primitive myth.
3= Any divide between revelation and rationality, religion and logic has to be irrational.
There's irrationality involved in this, to be sure...but it lies with the fact that religion is inherently irrational and illogical. A rational person derives his or her beliefs from a basis of objective evidence. And a logical person tests those beliefs for soundness and validity through (at least) the process of informal logic. Your beliefs satisfy neither of these qualities, and THERE is the source of your "divide."
Revelation have vital role in human affairs.
Revelation is only "vital" to those whose beliefs lack a basis in reality, and thus cannot survive objective scrutiny. A belief in something that is REAL can be proved completely without any sort of "revelation."
Oh...and we're STILL waiting on your to cite a specific, scientifically credible and methodologically sound study that supports your assertion that there is an inherent ability in the practice of prayer that helps patients to recover from injuries and sicknesses.

I hate to argue about religion
it is irrational but to me it is my faith that I will be proven right, until then,
I will spread love not hate, and tell it to the world.
If his or her reply is no,
then why does it bother all of us so,
I tried my way, let us live in peaceful harmony,
the offer has been made,
it is up to him or her to breathe it in or blow it out.
Is Muslim another subset or part of being Black ? I want to go home where they don't look at me as if I am an alien from outer space...come to destroy, to torture their planet.
I would suggest that the reason you hate to argue about religion is that (as you admit) you know that your beliefs are irrational. I have read many of your blogs and comments, and most of the time you seem like a pretty rational person. What is it that compels an otherwise rational person--who seems to understand the value of rational thought and the dangers of irrational behavior--to abandon his or her reason in discussions of this ONE subject?
