When is the time for you to stop getting Christmas Presents? I am 18 yrs old and I don’t expect Christmas Presents anymore. But should I?
A few years ago I got mad every times I didn’t get anything for Christmas and if you read my blog (A letter to a mother on crack!) you would understand. But now I don’t except anything. I spent a lot of money this year buying Christmas present’s even for my mother but not even once did I get my hopes up about getting something in return.
I do know the true meaning of Christmas and I think it sunk in this year more than any other year!!!
I went over my aunts for Christmas and watched my 7-year-old cousin open all her presents and she was so excited. I got excited watching her!!! I remember when I was her age and I got up 4 in the morning…. way too excited that Santa came.
I think as we get older we expect something for Christmas but we won’t expect much as we got when we were younger. With the economy crashing, I really don’t expect anything. A gift card to Wal-mart where i could by soap, shampoo, lotion and other personal stuff would be fine for me. And College stuff is always a PLUS!!! But everything happens for a reason!
Anyone else have any opinions on getting older and Christmas?
Never is the answer....
