Well first off I want to say hello to those who don't know me and to those who do. It's been a very long time since I had a chance to do some blogging due to school (It's my senior year in high school so that means that I have been very busy). Feel free to check out my blogs and add me as a buddy. I just want to know if everyone is ready for the new year.
Unless you have been living on another planet, you know that the year 2009 will be bringing a lot of changes. President elect Barack Obama will soon receive the title as the President of The United States of America in late January and that is going to be a new transition for Americans whether you like the soon to be president or not.
I love starting a new year because I feel like everyone has a chance to make a new start. We all say that I won't be the same person that I was last year so why not keep that promise this time. Also, so many people make the same dull new years resolutions (Lose weight & quit smoking) without the proper planning which leads to failure.
Now we all know that those too things can be hard to do. Some people try to lose weight by exercising and then they quit when they don't see results by the next week. They fail to realize that you have to change your eating habits as well to lose the weight you want and also everyone has a different metabolism so everyone gets different results. Now for the people who say they want to quit smoking, that will take a lot of work too. Many smokers try quit smoking completely (going cold turkey) but their habit soon returns and they give up and pick up a cigarette. There are many steps that you have to take to achieve your goals. So you have to just take the time out to do so.
I am sure that 2009 will be a year of starting over for many people. 2008 was the year of recession and so many people lost their homes and their jobs. I know it must be so hard for them especially around the holiday season. I wish them the best of luck and I hope that they can find a way to get their old lives back and I am hoping that they try to stay in good spirits because everything isn't permanent.
Some people are expecting a baby next year and some people, like me, are graduating from high school next year and are going on to college. Whatever is in store for you next year, I wish you nothing but luck. Let's make 2009 our year no matter what that means to you. Remember that change is good and everyone gets a second chance.
P.S. Happy Holidays and there will be more blogs to come. Please comment.
