I finally watched that You tube video about the person that threw a shoe at the president while he was giving a speech. Incredible, I can’t believe that guy threw his shoes at him. After watching the video, I learned that throwing a shoe at someone is the worst possible insult someone could receive in an Arab country.
For one thing, I can’t believe the FBI or secret service, or whoever is supposed to be protecting the president was not more on top of the assault. It is amazing to me that one man was able to throw TWO shoes at the President of the United States of America without being stopped.
I think that tells us something about our security here. The president is the most important person in America and someone was able to throw two shoes at him.
Suppose those shoes were actually bullets, our current president would have probably been dead right now. What would our country have done now with an assassinated president? (Imagine, the very country we were going to war with would have assassinated our president.) I really find it amazing that the president was heavily enough guarded to protect himself from the dirty shoes being thrown at him.
