Ways To Get Out Of Current Economic Calamity.

Peace be upon everyone!

Nations with and without advanced sciences and technologies are facing economic crisis.

I believe that human should come back to God. God is The Provider. God is true controller. Human need to have awareness of this fact. He has provided detalied instructions about economics in Quran.

Allah is The Provider for everyone. He asks those who believe Him to spend on their relatives, poor and the wayfarer in order to gain divine pleasure and to prosper spiritually and materially as well. True believers have firm faith in God, Who provides for all their needs. They spend according to the will of God.

Caliph of latter day reformer ( at w.mta.tv ) mentioned ways to get out of current economic calamity based upon Quranic education :

1= People and nations need to stay within their means.

2= Avoiding unaffordable bigger houses and cars.

3= No self forcing into debt systems.

4= Staying away from interest and usury.

5= Rich nations try not to acquire control of other nation’s natural resources and poor nations be confident about it.

6= Leaders of countries should be loyal to their countries.

7= Rights of poor must be payed.

May Allah bring peace to each soul on earth.

Do you have any actual, objective evidence that would suggest that muslim Americans are facing a lower rate of home foreclosures that other Americans? Can you provide similar evidence comparing muslims and non-muslims on a global scale?

OR...are you perhaps just taking advantage of the global financial crisis and making shit up in order make your prosyletizing sales pitch sound better?

I think the latter is more likely.

The blogger never makes the claim that Muslim Americans or Muslim countries are doing better economically. While I disagree that placing all our faith in any god will magically solve our problems, he makes some other good points. Living within our means? Avoiding debt? Sounds like no-brainers to me.

Re-read your post and see if you are engaging in a debate, or simply trying to pick a fight simply over the presence of religion.

Certainly many specific items on the list make sense, but praying to the Muslim God is also part of that list, as is the claim that the other items on the list originate in the Quran. Advice is fine, but using crisis as an excuse to proselytize is another thing all together.

I was specifically criticizing the claim that Muslims are doing better than others in the economic crisis, because nowhere in the blog does it say that. Religion could have been utilized in a better way, yes, but from reading the response it feels like the poster is just trying to pick a fight.

The blog above says...

Quote:

I believe that human should come back to God. God is The Provider. God is true controller. Human need to have awareness of this fact. He has provided detalied instructions about economics in Quran.

If the bloggers claim is true, then we should be able to predict that people who live their lives under the assumption that "God is the true controller" (and muslims in particular, since the blog specifically refers us to the Quran) should be doing better financially than people who do not accept this idea. Since housing foreclosures are a very visible and currently relevant indicator of the on-going financial crisis in the U.S., it should therefore be true that muslims living in the U.S. should be suffering fewer foreclosures than the rest of us. If there is no reliable data that suggests this, then the evidence points to the blogger's basic premise being false.

Except that the blog says that we need to go back to God, implying that we have strayed and are not following the Quran or placing faith in Allah as we should be doing.

The blogger's claim is that there are detailed instructions in economics in the Quaran, not that by being religious we will automatically be rich or even financially stable.

That is exactly what this blog implies. Otherwise, the blogger could have discussed the economic advice without the very specific religious preface. What my counter-point illustrates is the fallacy in the premise of the bloggers assertions, which is that his financial advise is somehow inherently tied to religious submission.

Much as I hate to surrender a blog fight, I really can't justify arguing with a stranger anymore. You are welcome to try to prove whatever the heck it is that you are. Religion=evil if I'm not mistaken.

Besides, the blogger knows his point better than I do.

Just out of curiousity, if LOVE4ALLhatred4none came back with all these facts and statistic that shows that following/ law abiding Muslims are not being effected by the economic crisis as disasterly as everyone else and are actually doing much better...AND this info came from an as unbiased source as possible, would you pick up the Quran and start praying to Allah?

Love is like a box of chocolates; if you chose wisely you won’t be disappointed and have to spit it out. ~T

...but it would open up the potential for a more in-depth conversation, which--if sufficiently and consistently well-supported--could result in my changing at least some of my opinions about religion.

Peace!

When believers do not follow Quran, they suffer too. Unfortunately, wealthy muslim countries could not help much their poor fellow countries because they tied much of their wealth in interest based economies.
