Writing poetry has always been a means of inspiration, a release, a flow of emotion, a rupture of meanings, a vision, a journey, a friend, a road map, a freedom of expression, a psalm, freestyle journalism, a story, a storm, a calm, and a colorful scheme. Poetry has the ability to allow a writer a way to express agreement, disagreement, approval, disapproval, dissent, resistance, rebellion, a climb, a fall, stagnancy, a plan, pain, sorrow, laughter, joy, emptiness, fulfillment, love, power, growth, immaturity, friendship, disappointment, achievement, disbelief, quietness, enslavement and freedom. Poetry allows for the mind to release whatever may be happening inside and outside. It is not always easy to write and express oneself when writing poetry, but when a vision produces a poem it is not maximized by length, rhythym, time, location, or distraction. It is written in a moment of intense action and necessary focus. The reflection of what has happened leads to words and accents that are felt in the stroke of the pen, the pencil, the marker, the chalk, the lipstick, the memory and the emotion. Poetry is a signal of what we capture, we know, we experience, we see, we hear, we smell, we taste, we feel, and we remember. It is not defined by one single aspect but by many aspects of fantasy, reality, hopes, dreams, desires, and visions that exist for us and for others.
