A song I wrote; I wanna sleep out in the cold with you...
Chorus
I wanna sleep out in the cold with you
Out in the woods that are near the zoo
Will you sleep out in the cold with me?
Out in the woods underneath that tree?
We could eat some Hawthorne berries
Make believe they are mid-summer cherries
Snuggle up like matin' bunnies
Who tear their hair out to make a nest for their honeys...
Chorus
I like being out among the trees
Where I stop buzzing like an overworked bee
I'm a drone who works hard to make money
While the wild bees are making honey...
Chorus
I'm so glad your not a little hipster
'Cuze how would you keep me warm?
I prefer someone with some meat
On their warm human form...
Chorus
I like it cold enough to see my breath
Just to prove to you
That I'm warm, and that I'm not a robot
I'm a human too
Chorus
Well, this song needs a little work, but since I'm stuck inside on a rare Portland snowday, I thought I'd work on some music.
I'm suppose to be out rescuing blueberry bushes with the permaculture group today (the city of Portland bought a blueberry farm which they are going to develop, so some of us where going to rescue blueberry bushes, which feels funny after the turkey slaughter I participated in yesterday (turkey slaughter one day, blueberry rescue the next,) but it was canceled, due to the snow.) Ah well, it's a great day for reading, working on music and feasting on the slaughtered turkeys, before sleeping in the airport tonight so I'll make it onto an early-morning flight to New York to see the family for the holidays.
Love ya,
Carrot

I really like the lyrics.. especially the part about having meat to keep warm :D
