Broad Prosperity...sounds like a marvelous thing. But what does it mean? "Broad," I'm guessing, means "on a large scale," or something of the like. But what is prosperity?
To me, prosperity is joy, selflessness, that sort of thing. Imagine...if people were always joyful. Don't confuse "joy" with "happiness". We are not meant to always be happy in this world. Joy is that peace inside that makes us internally content, no matter what our situation is.
If people were always joyful, our world would be such a better place. Selflessness would flourish and that would rid our world of all the hate, because everyone would be in it for someone else. If people were always joyful, there would not be so much sadness and depression in this world. If people were happier and looked on the bright side more often, then maybe friendship and love could find a better safe haven in this world. If people were more joyful, then maybe they wouldn't be so greedy. Maybe they wouldn't be so wealth and power obsessed, as we see too often in these times.
Maybe not everyone would be rich. Maybe not everyone would have the latest of everything. Maybe not everyone would feel the same way. But maybe, just maybe, it would make the world a better place.
Therefore, I implore everyone to consider that broad prosperity can really be as simple and achievable as looking on the bright side and treating others as you would be treated yourself.
How can you do that in your daily life?
