Ok so as many of you have already read, I'm going to Cal State. Ok on the "acceptance" letter it says that i need to take these ELM or EPT exams before a certain date. I"M SORRY but i do not live in CALIFORNIA! you know how much it would cost me to go there JUST TO TAKE A TEST. So here i am in my carrer center at school making the lady call the university trying to figure all this madness out. OK OK OK back into the reality of this, I soooo wouldn't mind going to california for spring break to take that test. I'm so up for it! I would actually want to take it due to the fact that I still haven't even seen the campus. But then again HELLOOOO its like a bunch of bucks to buy plane ticket and find a place to stay at! AHHH!!! thats just horrible! so I just don't know. Like ok I would go IF they offered me a place to stay at during that time and alteast pay for SOME of the ticket. Seriously the ticket isn't even that expensive but the hotels certaintly are and thats really the issue. I wonder if i can get someone to come with me. Wow i'm going to be so freaked out being in a random state taking a test and nobody there with me for MORAL SUPPORT! I guess all these worries going on through my head are just a part of growing up. YES GROWING UP! my most hated phrase in the world. Most of you don't know that i have a phobia. Its a wierd phobia but yes! Its a phobia of growing up! But its gotta come sooner or later!!! sooo Does anybody out there know what i should do?

here is your school's information on the exams.
What you should probably do is read through this bulletin and see if you maybe qualify for an exemption (pg 3).
Talk to someone in the testing services department and see if you can work something out if you don't qualify. Maybe the exam can be mailed to you and you can take it with a proctor. Your school probably has alternatives for students unable to complete those 2 exams because of geographical restrictions. Just inquire.
