Starburst, the Unity Candy

If unity could be a candy, it would be a Starburst. Starbursts have long been known for their great flavor, but what many people do not know is that they are the closest example of unity we have in the world today. For years people around the world have been trying to create ultimate unity. The fact of the matter is that people never knew where to look for it. A perfect example is sitting right in front of us, the Starburst. We see Starbursts every time we get in line at the grocery store and in every child’s Halloween candy bag. True unity has taken the form of a candy.

In every Starburst there are always two candies, usually of a different color and flavor. Each individually wrapped Starburst is like a person. The different flavors represent the many different types of people in the world. No two people are alike. Everyone, young and old, has his or her own opinions and beliefs. The beliefs of the people are symbolized by the different Starburst flavors.

Even though there are two individually wrapped candies, manufacturers manage to put them together in one final bonding. They are infused into one overall package. This final yellow packaging with red lettering represents what our world could obtain, unity and peace. Even though the individual Starbursts may be different colors and flavors, the packaging unifies them into one single body.

Like a Starburst, we need to get over our differences and come together as one. This candy company sets a prime example that the world needs to follow. We as human beings need to unify with each other. The world is not so big and diverse; people can come together. If two different flavored Starburst candies can survive in the same packaging, humans should be able to do it also.

Yes but if the whole package of starburt represents the person, then we are all pretty much the same.

WHat would you say about this unity idea in regards to the fact that I never eat the yellow ones and avoid the orange ones if I can?

I might not have made this clear enough in my blog, but I believe that the entire Starburst package represents true unity on a global basis. Each individual flavor represents different people, but they come together in one package. The Starburst is an example of the unity that the world should follow.

As far as picking and choosing which flavor of Starburst to eat is a matter of opinion. Symbolically speaking, it just shows that everyone has their own morals beliefs and opinions. I guess in a world with so many diverse individuals, true unity will never exist (too bad :( )
