"Special Child"

Kicking and screaming, a child demands his parents to buy him the latest video game that he saw at the store. Whenever a child throws a temper tantrum like throwing himself on the floor crying, most parents feel embarrassed and humiliated in public. Thus, they end up buying their child whatever he or she desires even though they said they would not buy it earlier. Although raising a child have its own difficulties, parents raising a child with developmental disabilities face a much greater challenge in keeping their budget, disciplining their child, and teaching their child than those parents who have children without special needs.
For one thing, taking care of a child with disabilities is much more expensive than having a child without special needs. A child under the autistic spectrum requires medication, a lot of therapies, and special treatments. In addition, if he usually eats a particular dish like rice and fish or chicken, he will not accept any other dish than that. Thus, parents with kids like this try to appease whatever their child is craving than giving them any other alternative. On the other hand, children without special needs are not that peculiar to what food is being served on the table. In addition, parents know that giving an alternative such as a chocolate bar instead of chocolate chip cookies will appease the graving of their non- autistic children.
In addition to a higher expense, enforcing discipline on a child with special needs is much more difficult than to enforce proper discipline on a child without special needs. Parents with a special needs child are hesitant in enforcing discipline on their child because it is difficult because not only their child has no idea what they are talking about but also parents feel. In contrast, other children are forced by their parents to keep still and behave because there is no reason for them not to listen and follow their orders.
Most importantly, teaching children with developmental disorders demands a lot more from teachers or parents compared to the demands of children without any disorders. Teachers are much more stressed on how to teach a child who does not even look up when he is called or who seems not to understand anything that is said to him. Educators and concerned parents are usually working together on figuring out a system that will work on this type of children. These children not only require a lot of time to figure out something and learn a new skill but also require a lot of patience.
Therefore, raising a child with special needs probably is more demanding and much more difficult in keeping a low budget, enforcing discipline, and teaching than taking care of a child without any developmental disabilities. Requiring a lot of therapies and medications, taking care of a child with disabilities is much more expensive than having a child without special needs. In addition to high expenses, disciplining and educating a child under the autism spectrum are more difficult not only for parents but for teachers as well.

(You guys are probably thinking "So what? It's not like I have a child with autism" or you guys probably don't have any children yet. But, think of what I just stated here and next time don't complain or ridicule a child with this disability. I mean, just think of how their parents deal with them and care for them for 24 hours and for years)
