Change

How do we bring about change? Change to our struggling country? How do we face such problems like poverty? Should we turn to our law makers and capitol hill? Do we rely on those law makers to fix our countries issues? Or do we stand up and do something? Why not volunteer a morning of your time and serve breakfast at a soup kitchen? Why not clean out your closet and donate your old clothes that you know don't fit you anymore? Why not offer your talents to help someone in need? How about skipping lunch one day a week and buy a hungry person a meal? Why not help repair someone's house who can't afford it? Why not mentor a youth to get them on the right path to break the cycle of poverty in their life? Maybe you can't afford to donate money, but can you donate your talents and time? Can small acts of selflessness help alter the face of an issue that has plagued America since the creation of our great nation? Do we as americans have a moral obligation to help our fellow citizens? What are you afraid of? Can't you make a difference? Ask yourself what you are willing to do?

a Community Service Committee for my Student Council. It's amazing -everyone wants to help, but no one wants to do anything.

I do think that American have a moral obligation to help others. It takes away the meaning of sacerfice, compassion, and charity if one would label it under a moral obligation. it is more of a code of ethics.
