The hype about the Twilight series is invigorating. Over the past few months I saw an overwhelming number of people analyzing, idolizing, and raving about the novel and its characters. When word slipped out that there was a movie to be released, the entire world went crazy. My peers talked about the upcoming release nonstop. They reread Twilight, watched the movie trailers over and over, and even dressed up like the characters for Halloween. I could not believe the effect that Twilight had on its readers.
I consider myself a fairly busy person. With school, work, family, and other activities taking away the hours of the day, I never found the time to settle down to read the most talked about book. People kept telling me over and over that I needed to read this book. I continuously shrugged them off saying that I did not have any spare time. Finally, my sister forced her own copy of Twilight into my hands. I sat down on Saturday ready to begin reading the novel that I have heard so much about for the past few months….
