We ran an update of the database last night and managed to fix some problems we've been having on the site. Unfortunately, we seem to have created a few more.
It has come to our attention that some users are not able to log in, despite requesting new passwords. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Since some of our tech support people are not able to log in either, we know this is extremely frustrating. As such, please don't try PMing Fanaile Essence or Fallon at this current time. If you have any pressing needs, please PM either sawaboof, mvenus929, or ediblewoman.
So far, though, we can't identify a pattern between those who can log in and those who cannot. So, if you are having problems logging in, please e-mail us with your username at info[at]progressiveu.org. Please make sure to state your username including any capitals there may be. This will help us solve the problem and get the site back to its normal functioning again. We will do our best to respond to your e-mail as soon as possible.
We are trying to fix this as quickly as possible, so please be patient with us. We do appreciate your efforts with us on the site.

EDIT: We found the source of the problem. Any users with capital letters in their username will be unrecognized by the database. You may be able to log in, but so far, we haven't been able to see anyone post any comments or blogs. We are working on fixing this problem, and hopefully will have the site back in its functional form tomorrow.

Oh, and do read my post fully. Not only does it help you understand my point instead of making rash statements, but it also gives me some semblance of faith that people can read and understand an argument.

Hey, one thing I've noticed is I'm not getting emails anymore letting me know when someone's commented on my blog or a blog I've commented on.

Our tech support person tells me that the subscriptions were a part of the upgrade, so it could be that you just need to reset all your subscriptions in order to start getting the e-mails again.
I personally don't use subscriptions, so I couldn't tell you what else you need to do.

Okey doke, thanks. I'll try to figure it out. I hadn't really subscribed to anything, it just automatically sent me things that I'd posted in and that were mine.

I used to rely on the subscription emails, too, but I also no longer get them. However, I found that using the "Track" feature of the site works just as well, if not better. Click on the link "My account" in the top right section of the page, and click on the tab labeled "Track." It takes a couple seconds to load, but it then shows a complete list of all blogs you've ever commented on, and how many new comments have been added since you last visited a certain blog.
Thanks! There's also "My Unread" < "Recent Posts", which shows you all the recent posts on the site.

It looks like the issue may have been resolved because suddenly I could log in again...
