First blog ever in my life. Two hundred words required. Apologies for the sentence format. Sentence fragments are a result of "Bonus Point Opportunities!"'s Six Words Challenge.
If anyone is actually reading this and is a participant in the Blogging for Progress Scholarship Contest, could you please help me out and direct me as to where I can find information on it.
I find dead links everywhere and no criteria or explanation as to what I am supposed to be doing. I really question if this is a legitimate scholarship opportunity.

P.S. I would appreciate a word count to help me know when I have reached the minimum amount of two hundred words. Maybe there is a browser tool that I apparently have no knowledge of or some tool on this site that enables word count. I feel too unaware.

You should use Word to write your blogs and use the tool for word count. You can find information about the scholarship on the FAQ page.

I couldn't maneuver the site at all a few hours ago. Also found the lack of word count irritating but the application of Word makes it much easier. Thank you for the hints and tips. =)
