What does Obama Have to do with Canadian Economics

I am taking an International Business class and to no surprise, Wednesday's class turned into a discussion on Barrack Oboma's historic win in the United States election. I live in Canada and did not follow the American election for I do not care much for politics fake promisees if elected into the white house. With Obama, fake promises do not seem to be the problem. The problem may become how this effects Canada's economic standings.

If you drive a car or take the bus, or a train, or airplane, you would have noticed the past increase in oil prices. The beginning of this oil surge was when George W. Bush declared war on Iraq. Obama claims that war will become a thing in the past, and hopefully so will dry pumps. Second, as first African-American president, you wants to change the order of past agreements and to clearly make a solid mark. We are part of an agreement called NAFTA ( North American Free Trade agreement) If this agreement is terminated. High taxing fees will kill our import/export market. As a sister company, Canada imports eighty (80) percent of their products of the United States and with a more expensive trade option, Canadians may have to learn to deal with locally produced and manufactured items.

This may not only be a bad thing since the Canadian dollar is low. This could possible force us to invest in our own products and to continue to remain a step above the American money crisis. I am proud to be a Canadian and hope that the example of diversity that United States of America is boasting will seep into our parliament as well. Who knows, maybe I can be Prime Minister one day.

Thanks for reading and continue to see what else I have to say.
Who knows, maybe you will learn something.
