Where is everyone?

As I look around my city, I see nothing but people in their own world. I'm completely amazed at how many people have deicded to ignore all the problems of our world. I live in Chicago, the third biggest city in the US and the one with the most murders..and what is anyone doing about it? Nothing. Everyday I hear how someone got shot or killed, and it hurts my heart. Mayor Daley and everyone else is worried about getting the Olmypics and spending millions on that but what about our children? They are dying on the street EVERYDAY. We need to help these kids get off the streets, get the guns off the streets. Theres so much we can do with that money that not only does Chicago need but the whole world. I think its time we start making a stand! Not just in Chicago, but everywhere. Everyone needs to snap out of their little bubble and help make a differene in the world. Yes, the elections and who is going to win will help determine how much we get done, but we need to make the change. The people need to start fighting against rape, child abuse, gang violence, global warming and so much more..Once that happens people will start to live in harmony
