Time for a rant.
I know everyone has seen the countless commercials, received the numerous phone calls, and read the fliers. This election is truly focused on slandering and bad mouthing the opposite party. And quite frankly, a few days before the election I am finally fed up.
Yes- I have been annoyed since the beginning, but I'm sick and tired of hearing peoples opinions. Don't get me wrong, I am very gung-ho about people having an opinion, and how everyone's should be accepted. However, that doesn't seem to happen around here...ever! For example, I was reading a topic on a forum where these people were just saying all these nasty comments about Obama, how he isn't American blah blah blah. Nothing relevant to his views, or what he will do for our country. Just insults that are thrown around- because they have nothing better to say! I'm starting to think a majority of these people know nothing about his views. Another example is my friend whom despises McCain. Every time he sees a McCain sign in a yard he threatens to rip it out, and he actually followed a car that had a McCain bumper sticker and when they were beside one another he began to tell him how he felt. Honestly, is that truly necessary? What ever happened to being civilized, if you want others to accept your view...you need to reciprocate. Hypocrisy will get you us nowhere.
Alright. I am officially done with this rant. Ha. But my opinion about this is simple- be a little more mature people...because honestly this is a free country, we are given a right to have our thoughts and views...if you want yours, let others have theirs. State your opinion, vote for whomever you like, but keep the rude comments to yourself.
Agreed. People need to be more mature about their views. It's really just bordering on annoying now. We should just let Nader win to end the John-Barrack sissy fights.

That is simply insane about what your friend did.
I believe that when people make such off the wall comments no one pays attention to them. They eventually lose their legitimity . In the end i think the commenters suffer more than the listeners.
