I just started this blog in hopes to discuss the many aspects of this presidential election. To begin, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Courtney and I am a Broadcast Journalism/Political Science Major at the University Of Central Florida. My goal is to one day be a well-known reporter on a national network. I have a passion for broadcasting, as well as politics. I know, sometimes politics can become a very controversial issue, however I am very open minded, and willing to hear all sides to a story. I love learning new things, and I take everyone's opinion into consideration. It is so exciting for me to be a part of this year's election, because it is my first time voting. I have become so very interested in the election, in fact, I have enrolled in a Presidential Campaigning class to learn more about the campaigning process. I look forward to continuing this blog, and sharing all of my thoughts on the many issues that Politics may raise.
My first issue concerns the youth vote. This year, as like many others, the youth vote may take the lead and be the deciding factor in this election. We are the next generation, and we need to make a difference in this country. We will be the ones affected, and it is our duty to take responsibility. Our country has worked hard to give us the right to vote, so use it! It doesn't matter who you vote for... Just VOTE!
Until next time,
Happy Blogging!

great first blog - better than mine was hehe
only one question tho
at the end of your blog you say it doesn't matter who you vote for, just vote
well one thing that annoys me so much about presidential elections, or any type of election for that matter, is that the voters are so un-informed truthfully, if at all, about the candidates. Most of the time, people will vote and have no idea what they're voting for. Yes, i think everyone should vote, but first, they need to become informed of where each candidate stands on the issues - and not by watching or looking up bias information.
Not a bad goal to accomplish with your blogs, especially considering your major.
However, I wonder--is it too late? The election is Tuesday and most people have made their decisions already.
Still, I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of things to blog about that will help you in your major, and advance your knowledge of such issues.
