I have a cousin in town that desperately needs an accomodation in order to settle down in sch so we set out to look for a good and comfortable place. After trying some hostels which proved futile, we decided to check for options online last night.
We had lots of options so all we nedded to do was call and confirm if the publication was still valid and affordable so we can make arrangement to pay. I came across this particular one with very good offer so i decided it was going to be our best bet.
Picked up the phone and called, a lady picked and was really nice since i would speak polish to her at least considerably. she agreed we meet and finalise but at that moment, she decided to ask me few more question :
lady: pls what is your name?
me: my name is yemi
lady: where are you from
me: i am a nigerian
lady: (lond hisssssssssss) hanged up
what does it really matter, should it matter if i am a nigerian or polish, she placed the advert and i was going to pay her just the way a polish person would, why did my nationality count that bad? racial discrimination in Europe and poland in particular is terrible.
i feel so sad and angry even now. i am proud to be who i am and will not shy away from it.
That is so frustrating! I'm sorry you are not being treated fairly. Are there any anti-discrimination laws in Poland?

There is nothing of such, even in school, we go through same traetment. we have simply made up our minds to face it till the end.
WHEN GROUP WORK IS GIVEN AND YOU ARE THE ONLY BLACK, JUST ZERO YOUR MIND TO IT COS NO POLISH PERSON WILL ALLOW YOU IN THEIR GROUP.
Ind of making a group of myself most times. it is sure frustrating.
