Prop 4...you know the one about letting girls get abortions without telling their parents?

Okay. This is a heated topic, at least I think so. Coming from a high school where nearly all of the graduating class (or drop out class, is more like it), got pregnant, I have a lot to say about this issue. First of all I am extremely strong in my view of being against non-marital sex. If you think about it, there are lots of consequences. Dude, who would want to get pregnant when they are still a teenager. And, why would you want to feel used, even before you are married. It's like you're giving your husband leftovers. I know I make it sound bad, but seriously, what about purity, for both guys and girls??! And then there is the issue of being a proper parent to the kid. Not to mention your own life and your careers. And if you are smart enough to go sleep with a guy, you deserve to get yelled at by the parent who gave you life and gave you food and shelter. And getting legal protection for that? Can you say ESCAPE ROUTE? What is the purpose of voting no? Protecting yourself for an act that you purposely committed?

You sound like a responsible, logical person. Good for you.

If everyone had good, responsible parents like you, there wouldn't be an issue.

Not everyone is so fortunate though.
Some parents impregnate their own daughters.

Some accept money from friends and acquaintances in exchange for sex with their daughters.

Some force their daughters to get pregnant and give birth in order to qualify for more welfare money.

Some exchange their daughter's sexuality for drugs.

It is all well and good to pretend and hope that the world operates as it should, but it doesn't.
