Where is Peace?

We live this life not knowing when we will perish and our dreams are not big enough. We focus on material things and fail to see the little beautiful things in life. Pictures will forever lay still. No more joy. No more pain. Life ripped away as families shed tears in pain for those who are gone today. Young lives are gone in the blink of an eye due to violence in the streets. Just stop and take a minute to think about where your life is right now.Is everything fulfilled or are there things yet to be done? This life is too short not to do things right. I ask myself why do little innocent children have to bleed on the streets and why do women have to live in violence? And what about the youth? Were are the young dreamers and future presidents? How many more lives have to leave this world in order for us to realize that what we are doing is not working? Many of us college students take on a personal freedom and we forget to set our priorities. We focus too much on ourselves and forget our roots and family. Our dreams are big, but not enough. We fail to see what goes around us. We think, "That will not happen to me". But when tragedy strikes us near we realize that our time on earth is borrowed. How many deaths will it take for America to come together and realize that we need to change? Where is Peace? Is it obsolete or merely hidden? If love is with you then share it. Cultivate peace in your heart and grow it in order to spread it. It is time for the youth to think smarter and choose wiser.
