Collegebound

Society is based on money, always has been and always will be. This upsets me. Honestly, who can afford to pay for college except for the rich? College is a heavy expense that after four years or even more if you want a higher degree. When looking at colleges, I don't consider the cost of money, even though I know that it may cost a lot. I am one of the few that loves learning, and I would truly love to stay in college the rest of my life. But one thing that cuts the cost of college is if you don't spend you money on classes that won't go toward your degree. That means knowing your major beforehand.

So as of just yesterday I was for sure in my career as a graphic design. As of today I am not sure. One thing is for sure, I am really creative. But I am sucky at drawing, people tell me if I just practice but then tons of people have told me if you aren't born good at drawing then you can't learn. I love history, absolutely in love with it. I have a dream of owning my own History museum and everything. So I believe I will major in History and business, so I can be well on my way. But can I actually succeed in my dream, I believe I can, I have faith in myself. But I want to go to the best college possible for an History major. I am not sure which one that would be.

I don't want to make a mistake of choosing a career that I love rather than one that makes money. Which my grandpa always told me to do something that makes me happy rather than money, but if there is money in it then it's an extra bonus. My dad keeps pushing me toward computer science because that's where all the money is and plus he does it. But that isn't what makes me happy.

I am nervous that I won't be able to ever pay off the huge debt I will get when I have to go to college.

IF you are happy and passionate about your job then you will not worry so much about the big bills.
you will be too content and happy to worry about it.

enjoy life!!

If you love history so much that you have big dreams for that love and will do anything to achieve those dreams then the money won't matter so much. You'll worry about it but it won't be number 1 in your priority list. I really want to go into law. Law school is expensive, extremely stressful, and there's no guarantee that I'll pass the bar exam at all. If I switch states I have the take the bar exam again, for that state. Any of my friends tell me it's not worth it but I know with every fiber of my being that I am made for law and to me all of that is wayyy worth doing it for the rest of my life.
