The Draft...impending doom??

So we all know that there is a very good possibility that if McCain does in fact get elected that there will be a draft. I am very upset about this because my boyfriend is of age to get drafted and its just very scary to think of him in Iraq fighting against terrorism...or really nothing. I don't want him to get hurt fighting a senseless war or any war for that matter. To create a draft is taking away personal freedom and the choice whether or not you want to serve your country. But who in their right mind would ever want to go to Iraq now? We are trying to get our troops OUT, and McCain wants to send more in and have us there for years and years to come. Does anyone else think that this old guy is truly crazy?? We have a problem and you do not fix it by throwing more lives away. We have lost so many solders already! Husbands, sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, fiances, wives...its just ridiculous for the American people to have to endure any more loss. Considering everything else that is being thrown at us with this financial crisis and people losing their homes and losing all hope and what not, who would want to face sending their love one into a war we got into for the wrong reasons anyway?

i don't want my boyfriend to have to be a part of this, which is why i support Obama, because the likelihood of a draft under him is slim to none. I want a president that wants to reduce the amount of US blood being spilled, not add more fuel to the fire. That's ridiculous! My boyfriend is not going to endanger his life just because this old fart says so...

I don't want to make it sound all doom and gloom and like anyone who goes to Iraq is going to die...but death and serious injury are always a possibility. ALWAYS. not to mention mental health. how many soldiers are coming back with post traumatic stress disorder?? THIS WAR IS CRAZY!! why throw more people in?
