Immgration Reform? What does that really mean anyway?

What I do not understand about immigration?
Here is my beef about everyone and illegal immigrants. The Native Americans did not have a concept of land ownership. Who are we to decide where another person can live. We are born into the world the same way, we experience the same challenges to life and die just the same. Yet we came up with a complex set of rules that we decided we are cookie cut to serve everyone. We worry about controlling and being able to track illegal aliens.
Who do we think we are? How dare we be so presumptuous as to assume that we have a right to decide where another man can live! Globalism is supposed to break down barriers. Right? Then I wonder why are we so upset about illegal immigrants then? I think it is our own belief in our exceptional -ism. We have this belief that we are so very special and none of these ethical considerations really apply to us.
WE are all so worried about our government infringing on our civil rights with the Patriot Act? Yet we feed into this whole way of thinking that we are the ones entitled simply based on the geographic location of our birth or residence.

There are 6 billion people on earth and most of them are living in abject poverty, squalor and ignorance. At least 5 billion of these people are poorer than the average Mexican. The world's population is growing rapidly towards a projected peak of 9 billion and most of this growth is happening in the parts of the world that can least afford it. A very large percentage of these poor people would love to come to America and live like Americans.

There are only 300 million Americans. If we do as you suggest and allow essentially unlimited immigration then we will quickly be overwhelmed by a couple billion poor people. There is no way we can absorb an influx like this and end up anything but a third world cess pool. We are are currently doing a very poor job of absorbing the current influx of approximately 1 million legal immigrants and 1/2 million illegal immigrants.

People are mad about illegal immigrants because they are making life worse for all of us (except the very few who get rich exploiting cheap illegal labor).

Watch this excellent video. It will give you an education on the impossible mathmatics of what you are suggesting.
