Musings on reincarnation

What do you think about reincarnation, dear reader?

As a Catholic, I don’t spend my time thinking or learning about it, beyond the texts that I deliberately seek. A friend of mine in my undergrad had a beautiful idea of reincarnation and rebirth – that humanity is cycling from perfection to completely flawed back to perfection. What I love about that idea is that it makes this whole “life” experiment seem more fun, less serious. Like everything will be alright.
My mother – who is also Catholic, by the by – believes in reincarnation. She has even had visions about her past lives. I love to hear her stories about this, because it makes it seem so close. She’s seen her mother in past lives and her sisters. When she thinks about these lives in the context of this one, she can see how the relationships have “evolved” or not over the millennia.
She has never seen me, however, which it interesting.

I like to think about it, think about what I could have been. Perhaps this could explain “pulls” I feel towards things that completely do not relate to my present culture or experience.
Could I have been an Indian farmer’s daughter barefoot on the subcontinent under a British Raj?
Was I a rider in the Pony Express?
Was I an English nun in the 1400s?

Please tell me your thoughts, your experiences, dear reader.

I believe in reincarnation to a point. I think we're meant to do something with our lives... maybe meant to save someone or be with someone, or simply do something like find the cure for cancer, or see suffering first hand. Sometimes, though, things happen to prevent us from fulfilling our mission, or we have to fulfill our mission in steps. So, we die and are brought back to start again.

It's not terribly defined, but it gives me comfort that there's a reason babies or young children die, or women in the peak of their lives are taken away.

of fulfilling your mission in steps - like the thing you are going to accomplish is so big that is takes several lifetimes to do it!
I like that because it makes me remember that the day to day stuff I'm so concerned about is - in the grand scheme of things - not that big. I have such trouble remembering that.

Thanks for your thoughts!

It is not all that easy to grasp thoughts around reincarnation, it takes a certain kind of overall maturity in order to “recall” previous lives.

Whenever we end a physical live, everything we have lived and experienced is somehow downloaded into the source which connects us all.

Whenever we reenter inside the physical our past knowledge remains inside the source and therefore most cannot recall previous lives, still, there are situations in which one can access data. In order to access this data, one needs to merge inside the self, which regarding the world we live in today, is not all that easy, but it happens more than ever before in history.

One can actually go in both directions although past is way more easy to access while future requires a deep understanding of universal truths which are not in reach or accessible for everyone.

The funny thing about it all, we actually never die! We just shift from one plain to another. Those who understand this concept also carry an understanding there is no such thing as heaven, paradise or whatever hell on can read (fear) about.

All people that are around upon this globe this very moment, have willingly chosen to be amongst in this specific time. While only few recall the reason why they have made this choice!

Just like time, age is an illusion, because we live in a world that has been molded in many illusions it makes it hard a reality to understand or grasp what you and I are all about!

We are all being thought not to think outside the BOX, those who do are in many cases labeled with tags of ridicule or craziness.

Those who don’t mind those labels mostly get close in finding truths which surpass all limitation one might suffer on a personal level.
