Tell me I am a senior in high school, and I have to take these stupid 4site tests and PSSA tests. Now I see a point in the PSSA and 4sites to show how well you improve but what I don't like is the No Child Left behind Act. It makes me furious of how Washington decided now to get involved with my education. See I got basic in math one time on the 4site test and had to take remediation for not getting proficient on the test. See in the no child left behind act I had to be punished for getting basic on the test. I had to take a semester of PSSA remediation class that affected my elective classes for me to graduate. Luckily my scheduling worked out my senior year and I can still graduate with minimal requirements. Is this how are government is supposed to work? Make students take the test, but if they get basic they have to be punished? This is wrong how our senators can get involved in our education when they never did what we our doing either! Dropout rate is increasing at my school as well as neighboring schools because it’s taking them more that 4 years to graduate from high school.
Now I ask you America tell me your opinion or argue your point to me. I believe this act should be destroyed or improved on. In the long run in my eyes I see this act deemed unnecessary to society and believe this futile act is going to destroy the education system of America. It maybe just me thinking this but at least I have the decency to say what I think is right and wrong for my future. No government can ever take away that right I have even, if given on the worst punishment I will state the truth of what I think.

If getting proficent is such a big deal, why not just increase the score needed to get basic to set a new standard. Getting proficent now is just a good way of saying "Congratulations your just smart enough to pass for the year" The act is suppose to be able to keep up with our over seas competitors, but they earned what they got through hard work....where as we are just used to being spoon fed lifes answers.
