Drama...it's one of those facts of life that never seems to go away. You have it in your relationships, you see it on TV...it's everywhere. There are really two kinds of drama. 1) that annoying kind that is just a fact of life and 2) the type that people create to make themselves feel artificially better about themselves.
Well, there's not a whole lot you can do about the first type. For example, this whole bailout plan is causing a huge kink in everyone's lives and there's nothing we can do about it. Oh, the drama. School's a major pain and it seems like you're always rushing to get school done before the deadline. Oh, the drama. True, people create this drama (the executives of the companies should have managed their money better and you should have done your homework assignment on time). But these are those types that are never really intended (you kept MEANING to get to that homework...you just never got around to it. That brings us to the second type.
The second type is the jealous girlfriend, overactive imagination type of drama. It's also known as soap opera drama. This is the type that people intentionally create in order to get petted and feel good about themselves. It's as if drama gives them a high and they are addicted to it. This type of drama is really dangerous. It's the type that causes broken relationships and hurt feelings. It's the type that imagines a situation, makes it appear realistic, and then plays on that. It's the type that plays on another's sympathy and enjoys every minute of their misery. It's the type that perpetually lives in the negatives, and refuses to solve their problems because wallowing in them is a lot more fun.
This is the type that should be avoided at all costs. Everyone has problems in life. Get over it. Dwelling on those issues isn't going to make life any better. Stop obsessing. Enjoy life for what it is. It has problems, but those don't need to be blown out of proportion. All it's going to do is leave you with a temporary high and then a miserable life with no friends. Get over yourself and deal with it.
