So I was sitting in church today listening to my preacher talk to his congergation about how we all need to get our lives in order before we die and what not. Then he made a comment that " If you can buy Wendy's for your kids why can't you pay sunday school money or your tithes and offering"
This comment through me back. I was so furrious at the thought of him accusing me of not paying my dues to the church. Now I pay my tithes and offering every month just like the Bible says. Then they want me to pay sunday school money, then the building fund money, then being part of the usher board and choir money. I never new that church could be so expensive. I work and work and yes I do give a percentage of my earnings to the church but that' s it, I cant give as much as i would like to give. Yes I understand that we should help our church and its the Christian thing to do. But come on, must there be a bill for every little thing. And if we don't pay we get critized for it. I love my church and I love my sisters and brothers in Christ, but I already have enough bills to have to worry about each month do you think that i wan to have another. I think not. Being part of my church is basicly like being part of a country club. All the dues and payments you have make.
Some one please tell where the Bible says you must pay for the usher board committe and choir membership.
Money matters Most in the Church

I agree with you. we have too much stuff to deal with in this economy to think about giving our money to the church. when the money just goes to unnecessary things like for a new building or new gadgets.
it isn't modest.
