So today's been interesting. (Then again, every day is interesting).
After we went to church (yay for confession and Mass!), we went around town stopping at different places so that I could pick up applications. First stop: pharmacy. After waiting in line, I asked the lady at the counter if they had any open part-time positions. Her answer? She didn't know, but gave me an application. Yay. Second stop: sandwich shop. They didn't have any positions open. Third stop: Wal*Mart. How fun. There I spent a half hour on their dorky application thing where they ask you dumb questions. I passed the darn thing and so I'll possibly be hearing from them within 60 days. Good to know. Then we stopped by the pizza place. They didn't have any open spaces, but the lady gave me an application anyway. Then we stopped by this other place that I thought had a part-time position open but it turned out to be a full-time position. Darn. *sigh*
Then we get home and the other joy of my life is waiting for me: Algebra. Most of it is pretty easy for me, but there are those few things that you just don't get and you waste FOREVER working on them. Yeah...so that's where I was...one of those. Then I decided to start working on those applications. So I'm filling in my SSN, skills, previous employment information, etc, when the phone rings. It's a mom wanting to know if I could babysit tonight.
Could I? Definitely. I have no life beyond applications and algebra. After all, without a job, you have no money to hang out with friends. That leaves getting a job and school. So yeah, I could definitely babysit. Especially since that means I'll be having pizza for dinner tonight and I'm starving. LOL So she'll be here any second now to come pick me up and I just spent the past five minutes complaining about work (or lack thereof) and school.
So, why did I just waste your time with reading this? Honestly, I'm not quite sure. I'll leave that for you to decide. After all, if you've read this, then it's not like you have anything better to do.
