Has anyone read over all twelve California propositions that are to be displayed on this year's ballot? Prop #2, #4and #8 caught my eye immediately. Why is it that we must spend tax payers money to even put these three issues on the ballot? (for you who haven't read up on the matter, Prop #2 is about the cooping up of chickens. they have no room on farms for these poor animals to live comfortably. The solution, according to politians in favor of this prop, is to create a standard for how much space is needed to raise chickens in legally. Prop #4 is about teenage abortions. should they be allowed and should parents be notified? Prop #8 is about gay marriage. should it be legal?) On both Prop #2 and #8, I would vote in favor of. I do believe animals deserve adequate amounts of room in order to be able to live comfortably and I do believe that even gays should be given the right to marry. On Prop #4, i would vote no because a mother to be should have the right to choose whether or not she would like to be in that physical state. Whether you agree, or disagree, my point is how in the world did these props become props!?! All are a matter of opinion and have no greater purpose but to make life for some people more difficult. Our focuses as a state (California, that is.) has alot to say about the people who live in it. It's unbelievable that matters such as these out weight our education, poverty and economic issues that currently plague the nation. Our energy is better spent voting on the more important issues, don't you think?
Proposition Ridiculous.
