“Global warming is connected to the deterioration of health conditions and the increase of especially among the billions of people around the world who live in poverty.”
Climate and life is on a fine balance. Global warming brings warmer and wetter climates which are breeding grounds for insects like mosquitoes that carry infectious diseases like malaria, dengue fever, yellow fever, encephalitis, hemorrhagic fever, and West Nile virus. Mosquitoes usually do not thrive in high altitude areas such as in mountainous areas; however, now with warmer climates mosquitoes and malaria are present in the mountains of Kenya and Ethiopia. “Malaria alone consumes 40% to 50% of public health expenditure in some developing nations.” The illness leaves many too weak to work creating and creates a strain for themselves and their families.
Global warming also increases the rate of melting glaciers. In Central Asia melting glaciers has created flooding and drought which led to depleted resources and destroyed crops. Melting glaciers in Educator will threaten many of its population’s drinking supplies. The country’s capital alone depends on 80% of its glacier’s water.
Heavier rains will also become more frequently with the climate change which will led to higher cases of cholera epidemics. People that are gripped by poverty will be the hardest hit by the climatic changes because they lack adequate medical care and resources. The climate change will destroy crops, containment drinking water, and cause breeding grounds for notorious diseases.

You mention all these things climate change will do that will affect poverty but you fail to mention that climate change is unproven and a theory. i think Blog Action Day for poverty should focus on issues with poverty that we can physically tackle, not some controversial theory that cannot be physically tackled.
Government has no other end, but the preservation of property. - John Locke
Most people and scientist have proven that Global warming is man induced and is happening.
At the G-8 conference in japan countries like japan , Uk, and the United States stated that humans had some cause on the recent cilmate changes. http://technorati.com/articles/uo90vkrOy5ZUlLurA7nd7iX6tN8if87FI%2Bn30R4...
Its not controversial anymore. it is accepted as a fact.
