You know that time in you're life, when everything that could be going bad is going bad, and you stop yourself and wonder how this could have happened?
America is having one of those moments right now.
And as if that weren't bad enough, us poor self-respecting citizens will have to pay for it?
There's no question about our descending economy. All the politicains and news media remind us daily. How could we forget? This information must be credible. After all, they would never lie to us.
So how bad is it really? Gas prices are relatively low. I still have my job. My dad still has his job. My friends all have jobs. What's there to worry about? Really? We still have our house too! Is the home mortage crisis a myth? Are people really losing their homes?
Is the sky blue?
Well, so they tell us, but how can I know for sure? After all, I only know the sky to be blue because that's what I've been taught to believe all these years.
Next you're going to tell me they landed a man on the moon...
Get out!
Really?
I think I can feel my ignorant innocence crashing around me.
If things are really so bad as everyone fears, what are we to do about it?
The United States has a half-trillion dollar debt (more numbers than I can fathom), and those numbers will continue to increase with our relentless deficit spending. On top of that they want to bail out the corporations that supposedly got us into this little mess.
Wall Street is to blame.
At least that's what Newsweek tells me.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Should we really be helping the same companies that burned us?
Would you forgive your significant other if they cheated on you?
(Like the whole nine yards cheating)
hmmmm.....?
I guess the question now is: "What's more important?"
Sure......by flushing billions of dollars down the toliet in order to save AIG/Freddy/Fanny/etc. we temporarily solve the problem.
But get this my economically-minded friends:
We're adding billions of dollars to the economy to be circulated- money we don't even have in the first place.
Inflation will become astronomical!
Like Godzilla!!!!
So where do we have to greatest opportunity to gain something.
Do we?
a) allow inflation to occur in order to "save" our market and world markets by bailing-out the cheating spouses/corporations
-people will likely keep their jobs/houses
-inflation will affect EVERYONE
-what money you are making, will be worth considerably less
-EVERYONE will suffer from it (yes, even Wall Street)
b) let the economy correct itself by allowing the corporations to fail
-people WILL lose jobs
-stock in said economy will plummet
-execs will want their parachutes
-inflation will NOT occur (not astronomically)
Do we let only the "strong survive" by refusing to help the businesses and allow unemployment and potential ruin to occur?
Do we charge the taxpayers with bailouts that will cause inflation?
The breakdown (according to me)
Unemployment, while tragic, will only affect a select few
Inflation will affect everyone, and everyone will recieve the bill for the bailout
Does your wallet hurt yet?
Time to start stuffing your mattresses people!
The end is near :P

We do not need the bail out for two reasons. One when a bank fails some other bank will come in and buy up all the accounts for a lot less then they are worth. Those bank buyer make lots of money on that deal. Point two, why make the tax payer pay for the mistakes of the government and their personal piggie banks. If you have been stealing money out of the collection plate you do not tell people to put more money into it. I would like to say more but I have been talk politics all day. Thank you for the good Blog and have a great day.
