Hi again. Today I will be talking about the bible. Yes that holy relic that all faithful christians, catholics, etc. need to go on with their lives, but here is the question "Do i believe in the bible?". The answer is No. I have many reasons for this that i wish to share with you today. Number one: Religion spin offs. Most of the major religions today use the bible as a tool to help them get closer to god and live the way jesus did. But whats with all these religions if their is only one book for their facts. Well it is in my opinion that all these religions are spin offs from either each other and ancient religions. For example. I have noticed that in a lot of mythology that in both Polytheism or Monotheism there is always one god that rules them all. And believe it or not most of these religions have the same idea of what that god looks like. Old, strong body build, and of course the white beard. Coincidence, i think not. Romans have gotten their religion from the greeks so its n ot unheard of two cultures having the same beilef but with different names. How does this fit in with the bible? Well again in my opinion it is that christianity and catholicsm are spin offs of older religions from wence the came. Reason number two: The stories in the bible are just to unrealistic. I mean come on...do you honestly expect me to believe that the story of noah is true? An old man can not build a huge ark and gather up 2 of every animal on the face of the earth and put them in this boat....its not even remotely imaginable. I know there is one person out there thinking" Duh he didnt gather up the animals, they came to him." Again that is not even remotely imaginable. Do you honestly expect me to believe that animals from all over the world (most likely pangea at the time) walked over mountains, through deserts, harsh jungle land, and most likely a deep and nearly impassable river, to get to this boat. Besides the landscape, what about the wildlife? Wouldn't you think that the animals not getting called to noahs ark would either eat the ones that have or wonder where they went to. Reason number two, and my personal favorite the ten comandments. Many of you know them by heart ( i am not one of them ) and live by those rules....or do you? Lets begin with the first one: Thou shalt not have any other gods before me. Ok this one in my opinion is pretty much self explainatory Dont have any other gods, but what about those that take this to heart and hate others for being in a religion thats has more or no gods? Comandmant 2: Thou shalt not take the lords name in vein. This one is by far the most broken one of them all...even by priests, bishops, and cardinals a like. Comandment 3: Thou shalt remember to keep the sabath day holy: Im assuming this means go to church and pray on the sabbath which most of the people in todays generation don't. Comandment 4: Honor thy father and thy mother: this one is kind of hard to do for those without either parents, or theyre parents were horrible ones and you have nothing but hate for them. Comandment 5 Thou shalt not kill. Ok here is the thing on this one, we say its wrong o murder, kill, or take ones life (and heres the part that i will get a lot of hate for) what about those who serve in the armed forces? i mean we say its wrong to take a life and yet we praise those who do in war but shun those who arent. and dont give me that " theyre fighting to protect us you (insert bad word here), and its disrespectful to say otherwise" , i support our troops just not the way how things are running today..but thats for another blog. Back on topic if we really did follow this one most people today wouldnt need weapons to defend themselves or war. Comandmet 6: thou shalt not commit adultery: People say adultery is wrong but (and again lots of hate for this) what about those who work in the adult industry? People might say "oh well that is just a sin for them to have sex before marriage/ having sex with multiple partners". all i have to say is...how would one know if it is a sin if one never looks or watches it. At this point i am going to stop for now and to a continuation next week for this...please leave comments and see you next week

I don't think you understand the bible and I know you go Christian church and know me as a personal friend. However you did tell me at one time that you believe the bible is a book that was created by men smoking pot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these substances were not availible to these people at that time. It couldnt be just God? The reason the ten commandments were created was because the Israilites had no order when going out of Egypt. So Moses decided with the help of God and other elders, to create laws to help them rule the country. Their ideas were thoughtful and yes some weren't thought threw. But they were made to make a better society, and were very good. For example respect you parents., that was a great idea to show respect, but the death penalty was uncalled for. Hope you take my advise! :)
Cannabis is known to have been used in the Bylony culture of Central Europe (about 7,000 years ago).

I'm in horticulture and yes it was in the Neolithic period, however not in central Europe, near Romania. And how the bible would be influenced by people smoking cannabis when the books were written in the Middle East? Your source was not at my dispense, because my school blocked it. However I was able to research on other websites, so your source must have been very immature. You need to write about more then just a plant on someone’s blog. It’s very unprofessional not to talk about the whole topic instead of focusing on one thing.
A person has a right to respond as they will. Someone might not have had anything to say about most of your reply; that doesn't stop them (Wombels in this instance) from talking about those aspects they wish too.

Religions are all connected. All monotheistic religions have similar stories because it is the same god they just call him different names. Faith is what causes people to belive in a religion. If you have no faith there is no need to believe in the bible. Don't follow me, follow my moves- Jay-Z
Well I have my issues with the bible as well, but some of yours seem well..I really can't explain it. I have always had the theory that religions formed from one another along time ago, but no one really knows. This is my point no one knows anything, many things are based on beliefs.
As for killing in the armed forces...and yes I am bringing it up, it may not be right by that commandment but it is different. I don't really know how to explain it. If someone was coming into my house and trying to kill me yes I would kill them, would god shake his head in disapproval I believe not. But no one knows.
I wish I could argue this better, but I can't because I really don't care about the bible or religions. I respect people's choices and don't judge them for who they are and what they believe, but it just does not matter.

Suggestions- spell and grammar check and break up your blog into paragraphs. It makes it easier to read.

Thirded.
And might I suggest you elaborate on your explanations some? Your reasons for not following the commandments seem really... sketch, at best.
